Internet Banking Usage Rate in Turkey Rose to 75.9 Percent

According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute, the internet banking usage rate, which was 61.3 percent in 2022, reached 75.9 percent this year. With this development, three-quarters of individuals in the 16-74 age group started using internet banking.

Growth Trend Over the Last Four Years

Internet banking usage rates across Turkey have shown a steady upward trend in recent years.

Accordingly, the rate of 61.3 percent in 2022 rose to 67.1 percent in 2023, 71 percent in 2024, and 73.2 percent in 2025.

Usage Rates by Gender

When internet banking usage rates were analyzed by gender breakdown, differences were observed between men and women.

This year, the usage rate was measured at 87.5 percent for men, while this rate stood at 63.7 percent for women.

E-mail and Podcast Usage

Electronic mail and digital audio content were also among the purposes of internet use by individuals.

The rate of sending or receiving e-mails was 48.1 percent this year, while the rate of listening to or downloading podcasts was determined as 13.3 percent.

Advantages Provided to Consumers and Banks

The spread of digital banking systems offers significant conveniences to both customers and financial institutions.

While consumers perform their transactions quickly, banks also reduce their operational costs and speed up their service processes.
