Istanbul's 'Half is From Us' Campaign Extended Until the End of 2027
In his post-Cabinet Meeting statement, President Erdoğan announced that the transformation campaign in Istanbul has been extended and shared economic data.
Following the Cabinet Meeting, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced that the 'Half is From Us' campaign in Istanbul has been extended until the end of 2027, while also providing important information regarding the economy, foreign policy, and search and rescue efforts.
Cabinet Meeting and Urban Planning
Addressing the nation after the Cabinet Meeting held at the Presidential Complex, President Erdoğan stated that topics such as justice, economy, urban planning, and street safety were discussed. In line with the decision taken at the meeting, it was announced that the 'Half is From Us' campaign carried out in Istanbul has been extended until the end of 2027.
Foreign Policy and Summits
Touching upon foreign policy and regional developments in his speech, Erdoğan emphasized that Turkey firmly stands against all kinds of lawlessness and bullying. Stating that they attended the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit, Erdoğan noted that contributions to energy security and multipolarity were evaluated.
Search and Rescue Operations
Recalling that 14 people lost their lives and 14 others are missing in the accident resulting from the capsizing of a passenger ship traveling from Kyrenia to Taşucu, Erdoğan announced that search and rescue operations are continuing in cooperation with the TRNC. It was also reported that operations for the 10 crew members of the dry cargo ship that sank off the coast of Silivri are continuing uninterrupted.
Economy and Export Data
Sharing economic data, Erdoğan stated that goods exports in August increased by 8.1 percent to reach a record $23.5 billion, while exports for the first 8 months of 2026 reached $185 billion. It was stated that the Medium-Term Program has drawn the 3-year roadmap of the economy and that there will be no change in policies prioritizing investment, employment, and production.
COP31 Summit Preparations
Finally, it was stated that preparations for the COP31 Summit to be held in Antalya between November 9-20 are continuing rapidly at the Antalya EXPO area. In this context, it was shared with the public that a 38-kilometer road construction project has been completed in cooperation with TOKİ.
