According to Energy Aspects data, Europe risks facing a jet fuel deficit of 510,000 barrels per day in the fourth quarter.
Inventories at Seven-Year Low
Jet fuel inventories at the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp oil and storage hub fell to 454,000 tons in the week ending September 10.
With this decline, regional inventories have dropped to their lowest level in the last seven years.
Supply Move from Asia and South Korea
The reduction of Europe's supply from the Middle East due to the war has driven the region toward distant suppliers, with South Korea playing a critical role in this process.
Jet fuel shipments from South Korea to Europe reached 129,000 barrels per day in September, the highest level since October 2022.
Canada and Nigeria Among Alternative Sources
The US, Canada, and Nigeria also rank among the alternative suppliers attempting to cover Europe's deficit.
The Dangote refinery in Nigeria sent approximately 80,000 barrels of jet fuel per day to Europe in the second quarter of 2026.
