Following the institutional work and member meetings carried out over the past four years, the management of the Kütahya Chamber of Commerce and Industry shared its new targets aimed at increasing the city's economic potential with the public.
Four-Year Institutional Works
During the nearly four-year period since taking office, the Kütahya Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been transformed into a structure that takes initiative on behalf of its members.
In this direction, more than fifteen hundred members were interviewed, and numerous professional committee consultation meetings and evaluation meetings were organized.
Economic Diversity and Sectoral Goals
It is aimed to reduce the vulnerability of the Kütahya economy against global fluctuations due to its reliance on a narrow sectoral structure.
It is emphasized that there is a strong potential in developing sectors such as automotive, defense industry, machinery-metal, and chemistry.
Export and Employment Projects
The Export Support Office was put into operation within KUTSO in order to increase the share of high-tech and value-added products in exports.
In order to keep the qualified workforce in the city, the Mentee-Mentor Project and sponsorship protocols for vocational high schools were implemented.
Tourism and Logistics Potential
It is planned to increase tourism diversity with the advantages of Aizanoi Ancient City, Phrygian Valley, thermal resources, and the UNESCO Creative Cities Network.
It is aimed to increase logistics investments by integrating Kütahya's railway, Zafer Airport, and strategic location.
