Making a post on his X social media account, Yılmaz stated that at a time when risks and uncertainties are rising globally and regionally, while pursuing predictable policies within stability, they will also integrate new strategic priorities into the updated program.

Scope and Target Areas of the Program
Inflation, growth policies, and reforms determine the course to be followed in critical areas such as finance and price stability, growth, and employment with the MTP.
While appropriation ceiling offers of public administrations are also included in the MTP, it is anticipated that inflation, growth policies, and structural reforms will come to the forefront in the program.
Preparation Process and Approval Stage
The MTP is prepared through joint efforts by the Presidency's Directorate of Strategy and Budget and the Ministry of Treasury and Finance.
The program enters into force after being published in the Official Gazette following the signature of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Macroeconomic Policy Framework
With the MTP, it is aimed to determine macroeconomic policies, present basic economic magnitudes, income-expenditure forecasts, budget balance, and borrowing status.
The program shows the macroeconomic policy framework and targets, as well as priority reform areas and their schedule.
Previous Period Economic Targets
According to the targets in the current MTP, in the process covering the 2026-2028 period, the economy was projected to grow by 3.8 percent in 2026, 4.3 percent in 2027, and 5 percent in 2028.
It was calculated that inflation would be 16 percent for this year, 9 percent for 2027, and 8 percent for 2028, and that the ratio of the budget deficit to gross domestic product would be 3.5 percent in 2026 and 2.8 percent at the end of the program.
