National Electric High-Speed Train Reaches 250 Kilometers per Hour in Test Drives

Produced domestically by Türkiye Rail System Vehicles Industry Inc. (TÜRASAŞ), the National Electric High-Speed Train achieved a new milestone by reaching a speed of 250 kilometers per hour during ongoing test drives.
Test Drives and Speed Milestone
A significant stage has been left behind within the scope of test drives conducted for the National Electric High-Speed Train project, with the train reaching a speed of 250 kilometers per hour.
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that dynamic running safety tests of the train produced by TÜRASAŞ are continuing on the Eskişehir-Polatlı line.
Domestic Systems and Equipment
The Train Control and Management System and Traction System, which are among the critical components of the National High-Speed Train project, were developed entirely with domestic resources in partnership with ASELSAN.
Designed with an aluminum body architecture, the 8-car train set is planned to serve with a total capacity of 577 passengers.
Passenger Comfort and Planned Service
The train set includes equipment such as automatic climate control, fire detection, camera systems, and pantry sections.
The operating speed of the train, which features special compartments for disabled passengers and wheelchair lifts, is projected to be 225 kilometers per hour.
