Following an economic meeting chaired by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, it was announced that the Fund Coordination Board has been established to effectively coordinate fund investigations and liquidation processes in capital markets.

Economic Meeting and Decisions Made

A comprehensive meeting was held under the chairmanship of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, with the participation of economic policymakers and senior executives of relevant institutions. Recent developments in capital markets were discussed in detail during the meeting.

Duties of the Fund Coordination Board

The Fund Coordination Board was established under the chairmanship of the Vice President to ensure that the liquidation process is carried out swiftly, taking into account the legitimate rights of investors and the public interest.

State Supervisory Council Audit

Upon the instructions of the President, the State Supervisory Council initiated a comprehensive investigation and audit process covering recent investment fund transactions in the capital markets.

Transfer and Liquidation Processes

Detailed information was provided at the meeting regarding the ongoing process concerning the transfer of Katılımevim and Birevim Savings Finance Companies and İktisat Katılım Bankası to Türkiye Emlak Katılım Bankası.

Roadmap for Payments

The Capital Markets Board presented a roadmap for making payments to investors whose entitlement reconciliation has been completed, based on asset and liquidity status, in funds within the scope of liquidation.

Legal and Administrative Regulations

In addition to resolving the current issue, additional administrative and legal regulations will be implemented to strengthen the functioning and audit mechanisms of capital markets to prevent similar situations from recurring.
