New Decision from the Capital Markets Board Regarding Instructions of Liquidated Funds
The Board announced that proportional payments will be made to holders of instructions that were submitted and cancelled on the day liquidated funds were closed to transactions on TEFAS.
The Capital Markets Board announced that holders of instructions that were submitted on September 17, 2026—the date when funds entering the liquidation process were closed to transactions via the Turkey Electronic Fund Trading Platform—and subsequently cancelled by the platform, will receive payments from the liquidation balance in proportion to their participation shares.
Closure of Funds to Transactions
The Capital Markets Board reminded that the funds founded by portfolio management companies whose titles were included in published bulletins have been closed to transactions as of specified dates.
It was shared with the public that all trading operations of the funds in question, both on the Turkey Electronic Fund Trading Platform and outside the platform, have been suspended.
Instructions Deemed Valid
According to the statement, only the trading instructions submitted to the platform on or before September 16, 2026, were included in the normal course of operations.
The time limits determined for instructions subject to the same price value date were announced in the Board bulletins.
Cancelled Transactions
Due to the closure of the relevant funds to transactions on September 17, it was reported that all instructions given on this date were cancelled by the platform.
It was stated that this decision was implemented in order to fulfill the requirements of the Board's decisions.
Principle of Proportional Payment
It was announced that proportional payments will be made from the liquidation balance to the holders of instructions that were submitted and cancelled on September 17 in the liquidated funds.
It was recorded that the payments will be carried out according to the proportion of participation share ownership in the fund.
Other Circumstances Within the Scope of Liquidation
Special situations were also evaluated regarding the application of the announced liquidation procedures and principles.
It was stated that instructions that could not be executed due to fund default or failure to announce prices, despite having been submitted on earlier dates, are also within the scope of liquidation.
