New Diesel Price Hike Expected Due to Global Oil Price Increases
As fuel price increases triggered by international developments continue, the diesel price is expected to reach an all-time high with a new hike projected for midnight.
Supply concerns created by the US-Iran tension and the Russia-Ukraine war have pushed oil and fuel prices to record levels. Following the recent price hike of 6.59 TL, a new increase of 4.62 TL is projected for diesel starting midnight tonight.
Global Developments and Supply Concerns
The rising tension in the US-Iran friction and the Russia-Ukraine war has heightened concerns regarding global oil supply. Driven by these supply worries, the upward trend in oil prices has also reflected on fuel prices, leading to historic highs.
Expectation of a New Increase in Diesel Prices
Following the 6.59 TL hike in the liter price of diesel at midnight, it was reported that increases affecting the budgets of millions of drivers will continue. According to information obtained from industry sources, a price hike of 4.62 TL per liter of diesel is projected starting from midnight tonight.
If this expected increase materializes, the liter price of diesel will exceed the 100 TL threshold, reaching an all-time high.
Current Fuel Prices
On the European side of Istanbul, the liter price of gasoline is 80.26 TL, diesel is 95.60 TL, and LPG is 34.99 TL. On the Anatolian side of Istanbul, gasoline is sold at 80.12 TL, diesel at 95.46 TL, and LPG at 34.39 TL.
In Ankara, the liter price of gasoline was recorded at 81.25 TL, diesel at 96.75 TL, and LPG at 35.09 TL. In Izmir, gasoline is trading at 81.52 TL, diesel at 97.02 TL, and LPG at 34.99 TL.
