Growth and Inflation Data
The Turkish economy recorded a growth rate of 2.3 percent on an annual basis in the second quarter of 2026.
According to TurkStat data, annual inflation was realized at 31.51 percent in August 2026, while last year's target was at the 16 percent level.
Change in Current Account Deficit Expectations
According to balance of payments data, the current account deficit was realized at approximately 38.9 billion dollars in June.
While the year-end current account deficit expectation rose to 50.2 billion dollars, this target was set at 22.3 billion dollars in last year's MTP.
