New Price Hike on Diesel as Liter Price Exceeds One Hundred Lira
As volatility continues in the fuel market, the latest price increase has pushed diesel liter prices to record levels in major cities.
Following consecutive price hikes, the liter price of diesel has surpassed the 100 TL threshold in Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir, rising to a new level.
Wave of Price Increases in Diesel
Following the price hike of approximately 3.20 TL on gasoline on September 12, diesel prices had also risen by about 6.5 TL on Tuesday, September 15. Continuing this momentum, a new price hike of 4.62 TL was applied to diesel starting September 17.
New Figures in Major Cities
Following the successive price hikes, the liter price of diesel exceeded 100 TL in the provinces of Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir. With the updated tariff, drivers' fuel costs have also increased significantly.
Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir Tariffs
With the new prices, the liter of diesel became 100.40 TL on the European Side of Istanbul, while this figure was set at 100.20 TL on the Asian Side. In Ankara, the diesel price rose to 101.50 TL, and in Izmir to the level of 101.80 TL.
