The Ministry of Labor and Social Security has signed off on a critical regulation closely concerning remote working in working life. The newly prepared regulation gained validity by being published in the Official Gazette.
Working Days and Hours Will Be Determined
Changes were made to the article of the regulation governing the determination of working hours. Accordingly, a part of the performance of work can be carried out at the workplace and a part through remote working procedures.
To Be Explicitly Included in Contracts
The days on which the employee will work at the workplace and remotely, as well as daily working hours, will now be clearly determined in the employment contract. This situation will clarify the legal framework between the parties.
No Automatic Right to Work from Home
The new regulation does not automatically grant employees a certain number of days the right to work from home. The basis of the application relies on the conditions in the employment contract and mutual agreement.
