New Steps Taken for Economic Cooperation Between Uzbekistan and Syria
As a result of talks with the participation of delegations from both countries, it was decided to establish a new council to monitor joint projects and develop commercial relations.
Opportunities for partnership in trade, investment, and technology transfer were discussed at the forum held in the capital of Uzbekistan.
Business Forum Held in Tashkent
A comprehensive forum was held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, with the participation of a delegation from the Syrian Ministry of Economy and Industry, as well as government and business representatives from both countries. Within the scope of the forum, economic, commercial, and investment cooperation opportunities between the two countries were addressed in detail.
Trade Volume and Joint Projects
In a statement made by the ministry, it was reported that potential opportunities for realizing joint projects and increasing the trade volume were evaluated. Additionally, it is aimed to develop partnerships in strategic areas such as production and technology transfer.
Establishment of the Syria-Uzbekistan Business Council
As a concrete result of the talks, it was decided to establish the Syria-Uzbekistan Business Council in order to maintain continuous communication between the business communities and coordinate joint projects. This council is expected to place commercial relations between the two countries on a permanent foundation.
Visit of Minister Nidal Al-Shaar
Syrian Minister of Economy and Industry Nidal Al-Shaar, together with the accompanying delegation, had started a visit to Uzbekistan on Thursday. The visit is being carried out to expand commercial and industrial cooperation between the two countries.
