A new trade route that will reinforce Turkey's strategic position between Asia, the Middle East, and Europe was discussed within the scope of the Belt and Road Summit.

Critical Meeting Held at the Summit

Pakistani Minister of Commerce Khan and Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Trade Ahmad Bin Mohammed Al-Sayed came together within the framework of the Belt and Road Summit.

During this bilateral meeting, the development of regional connections and the enhancement of transit trade opportunities were discussed in detail.

New Transit Routes Evaluated

The parties conducted mutual evaluations on new transit and trade routes that could become operational via the Middle East and Central Asia.

It was emphasized that these new connection lines brought to the agenda will deepen the economic relations between the two countries and contribute to regional integration.

Turkey's Strategic Position and Objectives

If the designed route is implemented, Turkey will become a key transit point in the access of Qatar and Pakistan to European markets.

Thanks to this strategic step, it is aimed to increase the existing trade volume, strengthen economic cooperation, and develop transportation connections.
