Consecutive Passenger Records Broken
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu made a written statement regarding passenger transportation on the Gayrettepe-Istanbul Airport-Halkalı Metro Line.
Minister Uraloğlu announced that they broke consecutive daily passenger records by carrying 57,139 passengers on September 7 and 57,309 passengers on September 8.
69-Kilometer Line and Stations
With a total length of 69 kilometers, the Gayrettepe-Istanbul Airport-Halkalı Metro Line serves with 15 stations between Gayrettepe and Halkalı.
It was stated that with the commissioning of the line in phases, a significant contribution has been made to the integration of Istanbul's rail system network.
Daily Trips and Speed Information
Reaching speeds of up to 120 kilometers per hour, the Gayrettepe-Istanbul Airport-Halkalı Metro Line holds the position of Turkey's fastest metro with this feature.
While 145 trips are operated daily on the line, trip intervals are applied as 15 minutes.
