Plan for Importing 480 Thousand Head of Feeder Male Cattle in 2027
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry announced that a total of 480 thousand head of feeder male cattle will be permitted for import by non-public enterprises for the 2027 period.
The General Directorate of Livestock of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry announced that it is planned to permit the importation of a total of 480 thousand head of feeder male cattle during 2027, excluding public institutions and organizations.
Details of the Import Planning
In the announcement made on the official website of the General Directorate of Livestock of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, all details regarding the feeder male cattle import planning to be implemented in 2027 were shared with the public.
Distribution According to Enterprise Capacities
Within the scope of the new allocation planning, it is planned to grant import permits for 380 thousand head of feeder male cattle to large enterprises with a fattening barn capacity of 200 head and above.
For small enterprises with a capacity of under 200 head, it is projected to import a total of 100 thousand head of feeder male cattle.
Application Calendar and Conditions
It was reported that applications for the aforementioned import planning can be made between October 5-16, and breeders can submit their applications through Provincial or District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry.
Obligation of TÜRKVET Control
It was announced that during the application process, the capacity information of the enterprises for the year 2027 will be inspected via the TÜRKVET system, and enterprises without a capacity record in the system will not have the right to apply.
Role of the Meat and Milk Board
According to the official statement made, it was stated that all planned feeder male cattle import transactions will be carried out directly through the Meat and Milk Board.
