Positive trend in the first half of the day at Borsa Istanbul
The BIST 100 index maintained its upward trend, completing the first half of the day at 13,959.51 points.
At Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index gained 0.19 percent in the first half of the day, reaching 13,959.51 points. In markets where the total trading volume reached 84.2 billion liras, the banking index recorded gains while the holding index experienced a slight decline.
Sectoral divergence occurred
In the first half of the day, the banking index gained 0.85 percent, while the holding index fell by 0.21 percent. Among sector indices, financial leasing and factoring provided the highest return with 2.18 percent, while the information technology sector was the biggest loser with a 3.64 percent decline.
Technical outlook and market expectations
Analysts state that employment data from the US will be the focus of the markets for the remainder of the day. From a technical perspective, 14,100 and 14,200 points are being monitored as resistance levels for the BIST 100 index, while 13,800 and 13,700 points are being followed as support levels.
