As a result of investigations initiated upon the request of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office within the scope of the fund investigation, precautionary measures taken for 45 companies and 19 funds were lifted, while Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek announced that no actions will be taken against unrelated individuals.

Investigation and Precautionary Process

Following the review of account movements requested by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office from MASAK and financial institutions, a list featuring real and legal entities was published on Sunday evening. It was announced that asset freeze measures were taken for over a hundred individuals and organizations, including prominent companies.

Lifting of Precautionary Measures

Immediately after the Capital Markets Board's evaluation was submitted to the chief public prosecutor's office, a new announcement by the prosecutor's office stated that the previously taken precautionary measures for 45 companies and 19 funds had been lifted.

Statements by Minister Şimşek

Following the developments on Sunday night, Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek made an official statement regarding the issue via his social media account.

Şimşek emphasized that the legal process against those involved in market-disrupting transactions within the scope of fund investigations continues with determination.

Real Sector and Investor Rights

Stating that protecting the investment, employment, production, and export capacity of the real sector is among their primary priorities, Şimşek noted that coordination is being carried out with the Ministry of Justice.

He also stated that the legitimate rights of fund investors are being observed and that all necessary measures will continue to be taken to prevent developments from negatively reflecting on the real economy.
