President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with senior executives of 29 leading U.S. companies at an investor meeting in New York organized by DEİK and TAİK, stating that Turkey remains committed to its economic program and disinflation process.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with presidents, CEOs, and senior executives of 29 prominent U.S. companies at an event organized under the leadership of DEİK and TAİK in New York within the framework of United Nations meetings.
At the gathering, attended by representatives from various sectors with investments in Turkey, business representatives had the opportunity to discuss their expectations directly with President Erdoğan and cabinet ministers.
Assurances on Economic Policies
Speaking at the opening of the meeting, President Erdoğan emphasized that there would be no compromise on the economic program and the disinflationary process, and that they would continue resolutely with monetary policy and fiscal tightening.
DEİK President Nail Olpak stated that this message is of great importance in terms of confirming confidence in the program and ensuring predictability.
Five Main Themes for Global Change
Erdoğan shared five main themes of upcoming global change during the meeting. Among these themes was the repositioning of supply chains to prioritize reliability over the cheapest option.
It was also stated that energy routes and trade corridors are changing, and in this context, the Middle Corridor and Development Road projects hold significant importance.
A new reconstruction period involving the renewal of ports, power plants, and infrastructure elements in the region, along with changes in defense and advanced technologies, constituted the other topics.
Positive Feedback from the Business World
TAİK President Murat Özyeğin stated that major companies doing business or looking to do business with Turkey sat at the table with great appetite and found the cabinet to be very business-friendly.
Nail Olpak conveyed that they observed companies to be much more eager to conduct business and that discussions took place with a positive agenda.
Prominent Corporate Investments
The meeting addressed the agreement between Boeing and Turkish Airlines (THY) for 150 new narrow-body aircraft, Netflix's announcement of a new 10 billion TL investment, and the initiation of negotiations with Canada's ARC for small modular nuclear reactors.
The determination of global companies such as Ford, JP Morgan, GE Aerospace, RTX, Merck, and FedEx to expand their activities and grow their investments in Turkey was also expressed.
