Increase in European Union Exports
Turkey's exports to European Union countries increased by 3.6 percent in the January-August period of the year compared to the same period of last year. In this period, total foreign sales reached a level of 71 billion 788.5 million dollars.
Among EU member countries, Malta was the country where Turkey's exports recorded the highest proportional increase.
Model Satellite Competition Final
Excitement is at its peak in the 11th Türksat Model Satellite Competition, realized in cooperation with Türksat AŞ and TEKNOFEST. 15 teams that successfully passed all stages continue their preparations for the final.
The final stage of the competition will be held in Aksaray on September 15-18. The main concept of this year's organization was determined as Stable Descent Guided Mechanical Actuator.

Touching upon the technological transformation in the sector, Hayati Akbaba stated that thanks to artificial intelligence, there is no longer a need to use physical models. He expressed that products, except for very special and evening wear garments, can be showcased using artificial intelligence.
He conveyed that artificial intelligence technology actively takes part not only in promotion but in every area of the sector such as sales, production, and warehousing.
Commodity Markets and Reserves
The People's Bank of China continued its gold purchases without interruption, carrying this purchase to the 21st consecutive month. While purchases made since the beginning of the year reached 60 tons, the country's total gold reserves rose to 2,366 tons.
Expectations for a diplomatic solution regarding the Russia-Ukraine War had an effect on wheat prices. Wheat prices, which saw a peak during the week, experienced a decline along with profit-taking sales.
Süper Lig Transfer Statistics
Süper Lig teams included a total of 119 foreign football players in their squads. Clubs made 124 of their 202 completed transfers from leagues abroad.
