Public Transportation Fares Increase to 40 TL in Sivas
With a new decision in Sivas, urban public transportation prices have increased. Tariff updates in the city have exceeded the average fares across Turkey.
With a decision made at the October 1, 2026 meeting of the Sivas Municipal Council, urban public transportation fares were increased. The full boarding fare rose to 40 TL, while the student and retiree boarding fare increased to 30 TL.
New Public Transportation Tariff in Sivas
Urban public transportation fares were redefined with the new tariff accepted at the October 1, 2026 meeting of the Sivas Municipal Council. With the adjustment made, the full boarding fare was increased from 30 TL to 40 TL.
Student and Retiree Fares
Student and retiree passengers were also affected by the public transportation price hikes. The boarding fare applied for these groups was raised from 22 TL to 30 TL.
Credit Card Payment Fee
Price increases were also implemented for payments made with credit cards inside public transportation vehicles. The in-vehicle credit card boarding fee was increased from 33 TL to 45 TL.
Comparison with Turkey's Average
Sivas ranks at the same level as Ankara, Eskişehir, and Bilecik with its 40 TL full boarding fare. The city is above the approximately 33 TL average tariff across Turkey.
