Pusula and Tera Holding Executives Referred to Courthouse in Fund Investigation
Company executives detained in the investigation into capital market transactions have been referred to the courthouse after completing police procedures.
Pusula Holding Chairman of the Board Serdar Turhan, Tera Investment Holding Chairman of the Board Emre Tezmen, and other executives detained in the fund investigation regarding capital market transactions have been referred to the courthouse following their procedures at the police station.
Referral Process of Suspects to the Courthouse
Pusula Holding Chairman of the Board Serdar Turhan, Tera Investment Holding Chairman of the Board Emre Tezmen, and executives Alper Öztürk, Emre Alkin, and Kerem Alkin, who were detained within the scope of the investigation into capital market transactions, have been referred to the courthouse.
Tera Portfolio Board Member and Topkapı University Rector Emre Alkin, Tera Portfolio General Manager Alper Öztürk, and Tera Investment Independent Board Member Kerem Alkin were also among the individuals referred to the courthouse, and the statement-taking procedures of the suspects are ongoing.
Origin and Development of the Investigation
The fund investigation deepened following the criminal complaint filed by the Capital Markets Board alleging that manipulative transactions were carried out in certain funds and the equity market.
Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek had announced that the Laundering Crimes Investigation Bureau made a new application and that the criminal complaint was evaluated within the scope of the relevant article of the law.
Fund Liquidation Decisions and Measures
Irregularities in the equity market were included in the inspection report dated September 17 prepared by the Capital Markets Board.
Funds of seven portfolio management companies, including Tera Portfolio and Pusula Portfolio, were closed to trading, and liquidation decisions were taken for a total of 131 funds.
Current Judicial Status Report
It was reported that four suspects had previously been arrested within the scope of the investigation, and a travel ban and asset freeze measures were imposed on fifty-one individuals.
The total number of individuals involved in the judicial process within the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has currently reached sixty-three.
