Retired and Civil Servant Salary Increases Based on Medium-Term Program Inflation Forecast

Based on inflation projections in the Medium-Term Program, expected new raise rates and minimum salary thresholds for SSK, BAĞ-KUR, and civil servant retirees as well as active civil servants are starting to become clear.

According to the 28.4 percent year-end inflation forecast in the Medium-Term Program, SSK and BAĞ-KUR retirees are projected to receive a 9.04 percent raise, while civil servants and civil servant retirees are projected to receive a 7 percent raise.

Medium-Term Program Forecasts

In the Medium-Term Program announced by the government, year-end inflation was projected at 28.4 percent. In line with this forecast, the framework for the raise rates to be applied to SSK and BAĞ-KUR retirees, as well as civil servants and civil servant retirees, has been drawn.

Inflation Data and Expectations

According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute, the first eight months of the year have been left behind. While July inflation was announced as 1.78 percent and August inflation as 1.84 percent, the final raise rate to be implemented in January will be finalized after four more months of data.

New Salary Figures

With the projected increases, the lowest retirement pension will rise to 25,681 liras, and the lowest civil servant salary will rise to 75,140 liras. Additionally, the lowest retired civil servant pension will reach 33,734 liras.

Increases in Social Support Payments

In line with the MTP targets, the age-65 pension will rise to 7,765 liras, and the home care support will increase to 16,858 liras. Disability pensions and the paid military exemption fee will also be reshaped according to these rates.
