Ayvalık Fashion Film Days brings together fashion and cinema

Organized by the Izmir-based Fashion Films Association, the Ayvalık Fashion Film Days took place in Ayvalık on August 28-29, 2026, bringing thirty-four fashion films together with cinema enthusiasts.

Purpose and Venues of the Event

Organized by the Izmir-based Fashion Films Association, Ayvalık Fashion Film Days combined the city's architectural heritage, Aegean light, and olive culture with the visual world of fashion films.

Held over two days at Mercanev and Fabrika Ayvalık, the event was presented to the audience through film screenings, presentations, and discussions.

Ayvalık and Cyprus Selections

Attracting strong interest from audiences of various age groups and professions, the event showcased two separate selections prepared from Turkey and internationally.

The Ayvalık Fashion Films Selection featured twenty-one films, while on the second day, thirteen films were screened as part of the Cyprus Fashion Film Festival Selection.

Participating Directors

The event brought together works by numerous directors, including Rafael Cemo Çetin, Zion Lacroix, Emir Mavitan, and Antonio Özçevik.

The program also featured productions directed by figures such as Can Evrenol, Emir Eralp, Harun Güler, and Dağhan Celayir.

Discussion and Presentation Topics

In the talk and presentation section of the program, focusing on different production areas of fashion film, important presentations were made by expert figures.

Antonio Özçevik, Burçak Çorlu, Öykü Gülbent, Sema Çobaner, and Zeynep Ceren Korkmaz gave presentations on fashion cinema.

Preparations for Next Year

The Fashion Films Association emphasized that Ayvalık holds significant potential for fashion film production with its historical structures and unique atmosphere.

Following the organization, which concluded with high participation, it was announced that preparations for 2027 have already begun.
