Retiree and Civil Servant Salary Increase Table Shaped with August Inflation Figures
TURKSTAT announced the August inflation, and the 2-month total inflation for SSI and Bağ-Kur retirees was calculated as 3.65 percent.
With the announcement of August inflation figures by the Turkish Statistical Institute, the initial calculation table regarding the retiree and civil servant salary increases to be made in January 2027 has emerged.
August Inflation Data
According to the data shared by the Turkish Statistical Institute, monthly inflation in August materialized at a rate of 1.84 percent. With this rate, the first steps of the January 2027 increase calculations have been taken.
SSI and Bağ-Kur Retiree Increase
In light of the latest data released, the two-month inflation total for SSI and Bağ-Kur retirees reached 3.65 percent. This rate has already been recorded as an earned increase item.
Status of Civil Servants and Retired Civil Servants
Civil servants and retired civil servants receive their salary increases based on the collective bargaining agreement raise plus the inflation difference. Currently, an inflation difference has not yet formed for civil servants.
Impact of Coming Months
The rates to be reflected in the January 2027 salaries will become clear cumulatively with the addition of inflation data belonging to the months of September, October, November, and December.
Collective Bargaining and Inflation Difference
In the salary calculation of civil servants and retired civil servants, the 7 percent increase rate resulting from the collective bargaining agreement valid for the second half of the year is taken into account. In the event that the first six-month inflation exceeds this rate, the inflation difference will also be added to the salaries.
