Rönesans Enerji and ICBC Sign Loan Agreement for Renewable Projects
Aiming to expand its renewable energy projects, the company has implemented a strategic borrowing protocol with the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China.
Rönesans Enerji has signed a new financing agreement worth 40 million US dollars with the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) to finance its investments in the field of renewable energy.
Details of the Financing Agreement
According to the statement made by Rönesans Enerji, the 40 million US dollar resource provided will be used in the company's current and future renewable energy projects.
Investment and Financing History
With this latest agreement, Rönesans Enerji has secured a total of approximately 600 million US dollars in financing from 10 different financial institutions over the past three-year period.
Generation Capacity and Projects
Rönesans Enerji's current electricity generation capacity, based entirely on renewable sources, stands at 577 MW, and the company continues its investments. At the same time, the company is continuing the construction work of a new 126 MW electricity generation plant while carrying out development activities for projects with a capacity of 680 MW.
Partnership Structure
Within Rönesans Enerji, Rönesans Holding and French energy giant TotalEnergies hold an equal 50 percent partnership share. This partnership structure became official in 2023 when TotalEnergies acquired half of the company's shares.
