Sectoral confidence indices for September 2026 announced: Retail increased, construction declined
Confidence indices for the September 2026 period have been announced. While services remained stable, retail trade increased and the construction sector decreased.
Data for the seasonally adjusted sectoral confidence indices in Turkey for the September 2026 period has been announced. According to the released data, while the service sector confidence index remained stable, the retail trade sector recorded an increase, and the construction sector experienced a decline.
Service Sector Confidence Index
The service sector confidence index remained stable at 111.9 in September, showing no change compared to the previous month.
In the last three months, the business situation index increased by 1.1 percent to a value of 110.2.
While demand for services increased by 0.4 percent to 109.7, the demand expectation for the next three months decreased by 1.3 percent to 115.9.
Retail Trade Sector
The retail trade sector confidence index increased by 1.1 percent in September, reaching a value of 111.3.
The business volume and sales index for the past three-month period rose by 0.4 percent to the 114.5 level.
The expectation for business volume and sales regarding the next three-month period rose by 3.5 percent to the 128.0 level.
Construction Sector Confidence Index
The construction sector confidence index declined by 0.2 percent in September to a value of 83.0.
The current level of registered orders received rose by 1.9 percent to 80.4 during the same period.
The expectation for total number of employees in the next three-month period decreased by 2.1 percent to 85.5.
