The Soil Products Office reported that it has started selling barley from its stocks to increase the domestic supply of feed raw materials, facilitate access to alternative raw materials for the relevant sectors, and contribute to market stability.
Production Record in Cereal Harvest
While it was stated that the cereal harvest has been completed in Turkey this year, it was noted that production reached a record level and a strong supply has been formed at a level to meet domestic consumption.
Advancing the Sales Program
TMO had advanced the wheat and barley sales program, which was planned to start in October for the 2026-27 sales season, launching wheat sales via TÜRİB on September 1, and transitioned to barley sales as of September 17.
Target Groups for Sales and Details
It was announced that barley sales will initially be aimed at cattle and small ruminant breeders, livestock farmers, and feed mills, and detailed information regarding the sales can be obtained from TMO offices.
