Somali Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism Abdulfatah Kasim Mohamud emphasized the strategic support Turkey has provided to Somalia for many years in the fields of military training, economy, and public services, stating that there are circles targeting the relations between the two countries.

Somali Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism Abdulfatah Kasim Mohamud evaluated relations between the two countries in an exclusive interview with Shabele Media Network. Mohamud stated that Turkey's support for the Somali people did not just begin recently and that it stood by the country during difficult times in the past.
Stating that Ankara helped Somalia emerge from its difficult situation, the Somali Minister expressed that Turkey has trained the country's army and provided significant support in the fields of economy and various public services.

Minister Mohamud drew attention to the existence of certain circles and individuals aiming to target and defame the friendly relations between the two countries. He noted that such attempts target ties that have evolved from humanitarian aid into a strategic partnership.
