Tax and SGK Debt Requirement Lifted for Tradesmen Loans
In a statement sent to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) by Halkbank, it was reported that with the published regulation, a broader segment of tradesmen and artisans can benefit from Treasury interest-subsidized loans, and additional loan facilities are provided for paying tax and SGK premium debts.
In accordance with the Presidential Decision published in the Official Gazette, tradesmen and artisans were granted the opportunity to obtain Treasury interest-subsidized loans without requiring them to have no overdue tax and social security premium debts.
Tax and SGK Debt Requirement Eased
In the statement made by Halkbank to the Public Disclosure Platform, it was reminded that previously tradesmen and artisans were required to have no overdue tax and social security premium debt, or to have restructured such debts, to access Treasury interest-subsidized loans.
Pursuant to Presidential Decision No. 11648 published in the Official Gazette, tradesmen loans can now be obtained under specified conditions without seeking the aforementioned debt-free requirement.
Additional Limit Opportunity for Debt Payment
Under the regulation, an additional Treasury interest-subsidized tradesmen loan facility was also provided on top of existing credit limits for the purpose of paying overdue tax and social security premium debts.
The statement noted that thanks to the Decision taken, a much broader segment of tradesmen and artisans will be able to benefit from the loans, and access to finance will continue to be supported.
