Ten-Day Economic and Partnership Marathon Concludes at the 63rd Damascus International Fair
The Damascus International Fair, featuring participation from around 1,000 institutions representing roughly 60 countries, has concluded after 10 days marked by various economic agreements and events.
Held under the slogan "Syria is Reborn," the 63rd Damascus International Fair concluded following 10 days of economic talks and agreements, with the participation of around 1,000 local, Arab, and international institutions from roughly 60 countries.
Scope of the Fair and Participation
The event, hosted at the Damascus Fairgrounds, saw heavy participation from official, public, and economic delegations comprising ministers, ambassadors, diplomatic mission representatives, businesspeople, and investors. The days designated for visitors witnessed broad public turnout.
Investment and Industrial Agreements
The first three days of the fair were dedicated to businesspeople, investors, and official delegations. Within this scope, agreements were signed for the development of the Bab al-Hawa Industrial City, the establishment of a specialized marble industrial city in the Hassia region of Homs, and the strengthening of agricultural investments.
Damascus World Economic Forum
It was announced that the Damascus World Economic Forum was launched concurrently with the opening of the fair. The forum was designed as a direct dialogue platform between the government, the private sector, investors, and international partners.
New Initiatives and Digital Services
Various national initiatives were launched during the event, such as providing health insurance for the elderly, the Ministry of Energy's Syria Energy Portal, the Ministry of Awqaf's Al-Masjid application, and the Tamkeen program.
Seminars and Panels
The economic activities were accompanied by numerous seminars and panels addressing topics related to reconstruction, development, and the improvement of service sectors. Transportation investments and electronic payment systems were discussed.
Culture, Art, and Financial Events
The program included poetry recitals, artistic performances, and sports activities. Additionally, children were offered the experience of opening their first bank accounts through interactive digital screens at the Ministry of Finance stand.
