TOKİ Istanbul Rental Social Housing Project Applications Begin
Applications for the rental social housing project launched for low-income families in Istanbul are being accepted via e-Government.
In the rental social housing project implemented by the Housing Development Administration in Istanbul to balance exorbitant rent increases, e-Government applications will be made between September 14 and September 25, 2026, and 1,071 residences will be rented in the first phase.
Purpose and Scope of the Project
It is aimed by the Housing Development Administration to balance exorbitant rent increases and facilitate access to affordable housing for low-income citizens.
Application Dates and Method
Applications will be made via e-Government from the Housing / Workplace Application menu among the services of the Housing Development Administration.
Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum announced that applications will be collected between September 14 and September 25, 2026.
Housing Distribution and Delivery Date
Within the scope of the project, 1,071 residences will be delivered in the first phase in October 2026, and a total of 15,000 residences will be rented.
What Are the Application Conditions
Application conditions include being a Turkish citizen, having completed the age of 18, being married, and residing uninterruptedly in Istanbul for at least 1 year.
Additionally, conditions are sought that there is no registered residence in the title deed and the monthly household net income does not exceed 100,000 TL.
Rental Prices and Increase Rate
Rental amounts start from 10,000 TL for 1+1 apartments and vary according to the apartment type.
Annual rent increases will not be applied for the first 12 months and will be increased at the CPI rate in the following first January.
