Comprehensive Talks Started in Tashkent

A delegation headed by Syrian Economy and Industry Minister Nidal Al-Shaar has begun its contacts in the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent, with the aim of expanding cooperation between the two countries in trade, industrial, and investment fields.

Benefiting from Uzbekistan's Experience

Kassem Kamel, the Ministry's Director of Government Communication, stated that the visit focuses on increasing trade volume, attracting investments, developing industry, and leveraging Uzbekistan's experience in raising production growth and competitiveness.

Business Forum and Facility Visits to Be Held

Within the scope of the visit program, alongside meetings to be held with Uzbek government and economic institutions, a business forum bringing together business representatives of the two countries and inspection visits to industrial facilities and complexes will be organized.

A Delegation Visit Had Also Taken Place Previously

As part of steps to strengthen economic relations between the two countries, an economic delegation consisting of twenty-five Syrian business people had previously visited Uzbekistan in February.
