Trade Minister Ömer Bolat made a written statement regarding the August foreign trade statistics, announcing that exports increased by 4 percent in the first eight months of the year, reaching $184 billion 996 million and breaking a record.

Trade Minister Ömer Bolat announced that despite regional wars and global adversities, exports recorded a 4 percent increase in the first eight months of the year, achieving a total record of $184 billion 996 million.
Current Account Surplus and Targets
Stating that the current account balance is expected to post a surplus of over $3 billion in August, Bolat expressed that they anticipate catching the annualized export target of $282 billion as of September.
Strategy in Goods and Services Exports
Drawing attention to the fact that the Ministry continues its efforts resolutely to exceed the $410 billion target in goods and services exports, Bolat emphasized that a resilient outlook is displayed despite challenges in global trade.
Medium-Term Program and Added Value
Within the framework of the Medium-Term Program, it was stated that the share of high value-added and technology-intensive products and services will be increased in order to raise exports' share in global trade.
