Trade Minister Ömer Bolat Announces September Export Record
According to September data shared by Trade Minister Ömer Bolat, exports reached a record-breaking $26 billion, and Medium-Term Program targets were exceeded before the end of the year.
According to the September 2026 foreign trade data announced with the participation of Trade Minister Ömer Bolat and TIM President Mustafa Gültepe, merchandise exports increased by 15.4 percent to $26 billion.
September Export Record
The September data was shared at a meeting held at the TIM Foreign Trade Complex with the participation of Trade Minister Ömer Bolat and Turkish Exporters Assembly President Mustafa Gültepe. According to the disclosed information, merchandise exports increased by 15.4 percent in September.
As a result of this increase, the export volume reached $26 billion, breaking the all-time September record. At the same time, this data went down in history as the second-highest monthly export figure in the history of the Republic.
January-September Period and Annual Targets
Total exports in the January-September period showed an increase of 5.2 percent, reaching the level of $211 billion. Despite there being three months left until the completion of the year, the annual target in the Medium-Term Program was surpassed.
The annual export target of $282 billion set in the Medium-Term Program was exceeded with the level of $283.7 billion, 3 months before the end of the year.
Services Exports and Economic Growth
As of September, annualized services exports for the last 12 months rose to $125.4 billion. The total volume of merchandise and services exports reached $409.1 billion.
The Turkish economy recorded a growth rate of 2.5 percent in the first half of the year. The positive growth trend in the country has continued uninterrupted for the last 16 years.
