Alper Gezeravcı Discussed Turkey's Space Potential at TEKNOFEST
Alper Gezeravcı, from Turkey's first manned space mission, emphasized at the Şanlıurfa TEKNOFEST gathering that the country can become a stakeholder in the space ecosystem with its strong infrastructure.
Alper Gezeravcı, who took part in Turkey's first manned space mission, came together with youth within the scope of TEKNOFEST held in Şanlıurfa and stated that the country can reach its deserved position in the space ecosystem with its industrial infrastructure.
Meeting with Youth in Şanlıurfa
The Aviation, Space and Technology Festival, organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the T3 Foundation, continues to welcome visitors at the Şanlıurfa GAP Airport.
Coming together with youth at the festival area, Alper Gezeravcı, the hero of Turkey's first manned space mission, touched upon critical studies in the fields of space and aviation.
Strong Infrastructure and Partnership
Gezeravcı stated that the true equivalent of the infrastructure Turkey has reached with its defense and aviation sector in the space ecosystem has not been fully grasped until today.
He specifically noted that the facilities and industrial infrastructure possessed by the country are at a level that can enable Turkey to join any space ecosystem as a stakeholder.
International Astronautical Congress Goals
Drawing attention to the 77th International Astronautical Congress to be held in Antalya between October 5 and 9, the importance of bringing together the existing infrastructure and human resources was emphasized.
It was shared that the highest number of applications regarding scientific paper abstracts to be submitted to the congress from universities was received from Turkey.
