Trade Minister Ömer Bolat announced in a social media post that they held an online meeting with Istvan Kapitany, the Minister of Economy and Energy of the newly formed Peter Magyar government in Hungary. During the meeting, bilateral commercial and economic cooperation between the two countries was evaluated, and plans to further develop these relations were discussed in detail.
Areas of Sectoral Cooperation
During the meeting, a comprehensive exchange of views took place to deepen cooperation in mutual investments, contracting and technical consultancy services, the defense industry, energy, banking, tourism, transportation, and logistics sectors.
Trade Volume Target and Agenda
The goal of increasing last year's bilateral trade volume of 5.15 billion dollars to the 10 billion dollar target set by the leaders was reiterated. Additionally, issues regarding transit document quotas for road transport operators, visas and work permits, and the modernization of the Customs Union were evaluated.
