Trakya Birlik announces sunflower advance purchase price for the 2026 season

Trakya Oil Seeds Agricultural Sales Cooperatives Union has determined the advance purchase price for sunflowers, currently being harvested, at 37 thousand TL per ton for products with 44 percent oil content for the 2026/2027 production season.

Trakya Birlik announced the advance purchase price for sunflowers, whose harvest is ongoing, as 37 thousand Turkish Liras per ton for products with 44 percent oil content for the 2026/2027 season.

Approach to Production and Market

In the statement made by the Union, it was emphasized that increasing production capacity in oil seeds and reducing foreign dependency is a vital necessity for Turkey.

Purchase Volumes and Centers

Trakya Birlik continues to accept producers' crops through 109 purchasing centers affiliated with 48 cooperatives and its two factories throughout the harvest period. As of today, a total of 235,979 tons of sunflowers have been purchased.

Oil Content Variation Multiplier

Purchases to be made based on crude oil content will use the 44 percent ratio as the baseline. A price multiplier of 1.5 percent will be applied for every 1 percent change above or below this ratio.
