Investment Conference Begins in New York
Organized by the Foreign Economic Relations Board and the Turkey-Business Council, the 19th Turkey Investment Conference opened its doors in New York City, and the first day of events, which will run until September 23, was left behind.
Economic Outlook Discussed
At the meeting attended by Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek and Central Bank Governor Fatih Karahan, the roadmap of the Medium-Term Program, monetary policy, and the macroeconomic outlook were shared. Minister Şimşek stated that the economy is strong despite challenging global conditions.
High Technology and Industry Session
At the roundtable meeting attended by Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Turkey's potential to become a high-tech production and innovation hub was discussed, and the HIT30 Investment Incentive Program was introduced.
Evening Reception Held
The evening reception of the conference was held at the New York Public Library with the participation of Trade Minister Ömer Bolat, ministers, institution heads, and over four hundred business world representatives.
