Turkey Plastic Waste Workshop Begins in Istanbul with Broad Participation
The workshop held in Istanbul addresses the global fight against plastic pollution and circular economy policies.
The Turkey Plastic Waste Workshop, launched in Istanbul under the leadership of the Zero Waste Foundation, began with the participation of Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy.
Start of the Workshop and Participants
Organized by the Zero Waste Foundation in Istanbul, the Turkey Plastic Waste Workshop was held with a high-level participation of approximately 600 people.
In addition to Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, numerous prominent figures took part in the opening session of the program.
Main Objectives and the COP31 Process
In the lead-up to COP31, the aim is to produce joint solutions for combating plastic pollution and for the circular economy.
As a result of the workshop, it is aimed to create policy recommendations that will reduce waste and contribute to the 2053 Turkey Plastic Vision.
Thematic Dimensions Put on the Table
Within the scope of the event, studies are being carried out under the headings of waste, pollution, environment, economy, food safety, and human health.
All aspects of the plastic cycle are addressed in detail across a total of 6 main and 15 thematic tables.
