Turkey Plastic Waste Workshop Started in Istanbul

The Zero Waste for the Future – Common Sense Platform Turkey Plastic Waste Workshop started in Yeşilköy, Istanbul, under the auspices of Emine Erdoğan and hosted by the Zero Waste Foundation.
Objective and Theme of the Workshop
The program aims to contribute to Turkey's targets in combating plastic pollution and achieving a circular economy.
Broad Stakeholder Structure
17 ministries, general directorates, governorships, local administrations, and non-governmental organizations are taking part in the workshop.

Recovery Targets
It is targeted to increase the recovery rate to 60 percent by 2035 and 70 percent by 2053.
