Turkey Ranks at the Top in Europe with Its Agricultural Output

Speaking at the opening ceremony of Samsun City Hospital, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı announced that Turkey ranks first in Europe and seventh in the world with an agricultural output of $83.2 billion.

Emphasis on Service Politics and Reliable Food

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı stated that they are working resolutely to meet the needs of citizens with an understanding of project and service politics. He stated that activities are ongoing to deliver reliable food to tables in line with the strong agricultural vision of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Agricultural Investments and Production Increase in Samsun

It was reported that the total amount of investments and supports made in the last 24 years to strengthen the infrastructure of agricultural production in Samsun has reached 108 billion liras. Thanks to these investments, it was conveyed that a 32 percent increase was recorded in the rate of products produced, and a 19 percent increase in livestock assets and beekeeping production.

Incentive Packages and ORKÖY Supports

It was announced that 14,000 projects have been supported so far within the scope of ORKÖY and an incentive package of 12.5 billion liras has been put into effect. The information was shared that a significant portion of this resource was transferred to young and women entrepreneurs.

International Ranking and Support to Producers

It was reiterated that the agricultural output across Turkey has reached $83.2 billion, and the country ranks first in Europe and seventh in the world with this figure. It was emphasized that the market is being monitored through the Turkish Grain Board and producers will continue to be supported with the new support model.
