Turkey's Energy Import Bill Rose by 13.1 Percent in July

According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute and the Ministry of Trade, Turkey's energy imports increased by 13.1 percent on an annual basis in July.

According to provisional foreign trade statistics compiled by the Turkish Statistical Institute and the Ministry of Trade, Turkey's total imports in July increased by 5.1 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.

Energy Import Bill

While total imports in July were determined as 32 billion 965 million 736 thousand dollars, energy imports accounted for 5 billion 825 million 757 thousand dollars of this amount.

Comparison with Last Year's Figures

In July of last year, the amount of energy imports was recorded as 5 billion 148 million 959 thousand dollars, indicating that this year's figure increased by 13.1 percent on an annual basis.

Crude Oil Import Volume

During the announced foreign trade statistics period, crude oil imports showed a limited increase of 0.3 percent, reaching 2 million 931 thousand 690 tons.
