Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced during the opening ceremony of the Samsun City Hospital that travel time will drop to 2.5 hours upon the completion of the Samsun-Ankara high-speed train project.

Transportation Investments and Divided Highways

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu shared information regarding transportation projects carried out during the opening ceremony of the Samsun City Hospital.

It was reported that the country's divided highways were increased from 6,101 kilometers to 30,205 kilometers, connecting 77 provinces to each other.

Tender Processes for the High-Speed Train Line

It was announced that work on the high-speed train line coming to Samsun continues from Kırıkkale to Çorum.

It was stated that the tender for the Merzifon, Çorum, and Havza section has been held and work will begin in the first months of next year.

Time Reduction Between Samsun and Ankara

Information was given that the tender for the line extending from Havza to Kavak and Samsun will also be held next year.

It was noted that with the completion of the project, railway travel time will decrease to just 2.5 hours.

Samsun Çarşamba Airport Capacity Increase

It was recorded that new projects aimed at increasing the capacity of Samsun Çarşamba Airport will be implemented.

It was announced that capacity will be raised to 3 million with a new 29,120-square-meter terminal building to be constructed from scratch.
