Turkey's International Investment Position for July 2026 Announced

The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey shared the International Investment Position data for the July 2026 period with the public.

According to the data for the July 2026 period published by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, the country's net International Investment Position stood at -398.7 billion US dollars.

July Asset and Liability Developments

As of July, Turkey's external assets recorded a 4.2 percent increase compared to the previous month, reaching 419.6 billion US dollars.

In the same period, the country's liabilities increased by 1.0 percent compared to the previous month, totaling 818.3 billion US dollars.

Reserve Assets and Other Items

According to the disclosed data, reserve assets increased by 17 billion US dollars compared to the previous month, rising to 164.4 billion US dollars.

When asset items are examined, Direct Investments increased by 0.8 percent to 81.8 billion US dollars, while Other Investments decreased by 0.5 percent to 161.7 billion US dollars.

Changes in Liability Items

When the liability sub-items are evaluated, the Direct Investments item decreased by 0.3 percent, falling to 232.5 billion US dollars.

Portfolio Investments reached 160.2 billion US dollars with an increase of 3.5 percent, and Other Investments became 421.6 billion US dollars with a 1.6 percent increase.
