Turkey's ready-to-wear imports approach 3 billion dollars in the first seven months of 2026

Turkey's ready-to-wear and apparel imports reached 2 billion 953 million 197 thousand dollars in the January-July period of 2026, approaching the three billion threshold.

According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute, ready-to-wear imports carried out in the first seven months of 2026 were recorded at 2 billion 953 million 197 thousand dollars. In the same period of last year, this figure was at the level of 2 billion 752 million 921 thousand dollars.
Annual Comparison and Four-Year Comparison
The level of approximately 3 billion dollars reached in the first seven months of the year came quite close to the total annual figure for the entire year of 2022. Total annual imports in 2022 had materialized as 3 billion 135 million 784 thousand dollars.
Top Five Countries Standing Out in Imports
Approximately sixty percent of the total foreign purchases in the January-July period were made from five countries. While China ranked first with 557 million dollars, it was followed by Bangladesh with 493 million dollars and Egypt with 268 million dollars.
Trend of Change by Years
Ready-to-wear imports have exhibited a regular upward trend every year since 2022. Starting from 3.1 billion dollars in 2022, total annual figures rose to 3.7 billion, 4.4 billion, and 4.9 billion dollars respectively in the following years.
