Turkish Statistical Institute Announces July 2026 Industrial Production Data
The performances of the mining, manufacturing, and electricity and gas sectors for the July 2026 period have become clear.
The Turkish Statistical Institute announced the industrial production index data for the July 2026 period. According to the released official figures, industrial production declined on both an annual and monthly basis.
Annual and Monthly Decline in Industrial Production
The Industrial Production Statistics for the July 2026 period were shared with the public by the Turkish Statistical Institute. Accordingly, industrial production decreased by 0.3 percent in July compared to the same month of the previous year.
In addition, industrial production recorded a 1.0 percent decrease compared to the previous month, revealing a periodic contraction.
Annual Performances of Sub-sectors
The sub-sectors of industry were examined in detail based on indices with a reference year of 2021. In July 2026, the mining and quarrying sector index decreased by 3.8 percent on an annual basis.
In the same period, while the manufacturing industry sector index increased by 0.3 percent, the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning production and distribution sector index recorded a 5.6 percent decrease.
Monthly Change Rates of Sub-sectors
Compared to the previous month, the mining and quarrying sector index experienced a 2.2 percent drop.
Furthermore, the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning production and distribution sector index also decreased by 2.2 percent compared to the previous month.
