Turkish Statistical Institute Announces July 2026 Industrial Production Index Data

According to the July 2026 Industrial Production Index results released by the Turkish Statistical Institute, industrial production showed a decline on both a monthly and annual basis.

Annual and Monthly Decline in Industrial Production

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) shared the Industrial Production Index data for the period of July 2026 with the public. According to the announced figures, industrial production decreased by 0.3 percent year-on-year in July, while it dropped by 1.0 percent compared to the previous month.

Status of Sub-Sectors on an Annual Basis

When the sub-sectors of industry were examined, the mining and quarrying sector index decreased by 3.8 percent in July 2026 compared to the same month of the previous year. In the same period, the manufacturing industry sector index increased by 0.3 percent, while the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply sector index fell by 5.6 percent.

Sectoral Changes on a Monthly Basis

While industrial production decreased by 1.0 percent in July compared to the previous month, declines were also observed in sub-sectors. The mining and quarrying sector index declined by 2.2 percent on a monthly basis, the manufacturing industry sector index by 0.8 percent, and the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply sector index by 2.2 percent.
