Turkish Tourism Professionals to Gather in Dubai in October
As commercial relations between Türkiye and the United Arab Emirates strengthen, representatives of the Turkish tourism sector will meet at an event to be held in Dubai to evaluate tourism activity between the two countries and establish new collaborations.
Türkiye's leading tourism professionals are coming together at an event to be held in Dubai between October 1 and 4, 2026, in cooperation with the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism and BTB Tours.
Sectoral Collaborations and Commercial Relations
The meeting, where tourism traffic between the two countries will be discussed, aims to offer new collaboration opportunities to sector representatives. While the non-oil trade volume between Türkiye and the United Arab Emirates reached $45.2 billion in 2025 with an increase of 15.5 percent, Türkiye rose to become the UAE's fifth largest partner in this area.
Destination Evaluation and Market Dynamics
Stating that they want to examine developments on site, BTB Tours Chairman Salih Gözcü emphasized that the activity in Dubai should be closely followed for the Turkish tourism sector. Gözcü drew attention to the importance of evaluating the destination's future not only through figures, but through the opportunities it offers.
Diversifying Tourism Products and Ease of Transportation
Expressing that Dubai is a strong destination for the Turkish market, Gözcü noted that ease of transportation, strong air connectivity, and favorable weather conditions provide an advantage. It was stated that the destination has developed beyond sea and shopping into areas such as gastronomy, culture, luxury tourism, conventions, and events.
