TÜRKONFED's 27th Business World Summit Kicks Off in Elazığ

Economic resilience in the age of permanent uncertainty was addressed at the 27th Business World Summit organized by the Turkish Enterprise and Business Confederation in Elazığ.
Theme and Participation of the Summit
The 27th Business World Summit, organized by the Turkish Enterprise and Business Confederation and hosted by the Firat Industrial and Business Federation, started in Elazığ. Approximately 500 people from the public sector, local governments, civil society, and the business world attended the two-day event.
Spreading Capital to Anatolia
FIRATSİFED Chairperson Yasemin Açık stated that more than half of bank loans are concentrated in major cities and that capital needs to be spread across Anatolia. A call was made for Turkey's new growth story to be written in Anatolia.
Emphasis on the Rule of Law
The guest of honor speaker of the summit, Koç Holding Chairman of the Board Ömer Koç, stated that crises have become the new normal. It was stated that a solid legal framework and a functioning democracy are essential for companies to make long-term decisions.
Financing and Production Problems
TÜRKONFED President Süleyman Sönmez conveyed that industrial production has not been able to enter a permanent growth trajectory following the levels at the beginning of 2022. It was emphasized that cash flow, price pressure, and access to finance have become heavy burdens for the business world.
